Two-year U.S. Treasury yields return to 5%, U.S. dollar index hits another two-month high
The two-year U.S. Treasury yield returned to 5%, and the U.S. dollar accelerated its rebound. The U.S. dollar index rose above 104 for the first time in more than two months. The offshore yuan rose above 7.29, hitting a new high in more than a week, before turning lower; the Turkish lira soared 7% during the session.
European natural gas fell by more than 10% on both days, hitting a new low in the past two weeks. U.S. oil closed up 0.2% at $79.05 per barrel, halting three consecutive losses and temporarily leaving four-week lows. Gold halted four consecutive gains and remains close to two-week high.
